Circa 1940s vintage pale pink rayon bias cut nightgown / slip, tagged size 36.
Late Art Deco design with V neckline, the gathered triangular breast coverage sections are trimmed in wide bands of lace, with double row circle embroidery along the top sides.
Wide straps angle in towards mid back.
Chevron lace panelling under the chest, with a straight panel running across the mid back.
Yolke seaming at back upper waist.
Bias cut shape gently A- lines to the hem, fall to about ankle length (when held to my 5' 7" frame).
Rayon is a very pale petal pink, lace is a beige / pale tan color.
Labels: "Rhythm Lingerie, of Bur-Mil rayon fabric, 36", sold through "Julius Garfinkel & Co, Washington".
Condition is excellent - stitching is secure throughout, lace shows no damage.
A now scarce label on a stunning gown - this is a truly stellar piece!
